"Success has many fathers but failure is an orphan"
Let me clear that neither I am writing it for any Movie review nor lauding it under the influence of any person, power, money, greed or any circumstances. I am writing it because something genuinely makes me express my feelings after watching the Movie 12th Fail which is based on the true struggles of IPS Mr Manoj Kumar Sharma.
“Success has many fathers but failure is an orphan” is a proverb commonly used to encapsulate the plight of many successful and unsuccessful stories. unfortunately, it is a half-truth used as a conclusive statement to define and validate Success and Failures.
Linguistically success is an antonym of failure, but success is a measurable outcome of unmeasurable and miserable failures. Success is measured using referential attributes and evaluated and validated on predefined parameters. Whereas failures are non-measurable and miserable because they are disregarded and considered a lack of objectivity within.
In the virtual and real-world failures are often used to glorify and romanticize success and are considered the best way to connect success stories to significant audiences. The 12th Fail movie directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra based on the inspirational and true story of a Super cop Manoj Kumar Sharma is also no exception.
Be it in a Movie, book or an Interview Manoj Kumar Sharma has clarified that 12th Fail is not the story of Manoj Kumar himself. But it’s a depiction of every individual who has struggled and reached a significant milestone or in between. The Movie is directed and narrated so well that every frame of the movie gets connected with the audience and despite being the story of Manoj Kumar Sharma one can resemble characters of the movie from their real Life as well.
There are people in our vicinity and acquaintances having more or less the same stories and journeys that are shown in the canvas of the 12th Fail Movie, the only difference is either they fail to glorify and document their success stories or their journey is still going on to reach the desired destiny.
In my College days, I witnessed the same perseverance of Manoj in many classmates who came from the remotest villages and tribal areas loaded with hope and unmatchable courage to deal with all struggles and successfully reach to new heights in their respective domains.
Colleagues who despite failing in examinations showed an Impeccable Attitude towards life and got overcome in whatever odd situations and succeeded in getting a good position in a reputed organization and became an Inspiration for others.
Witnessed a boon companionship between people of varied cast, creeds, colour and financial status and they take that relation of friendship to the highest level of Trust, Empathy and support forever.
The mountain of success indeed allows only a few to reach on its Pinnacle, but it never disdain or refrain anybody from trying to reach there.
So, no matter how much time, effort, energy, or sacrifice comes between you to succeed, never ever loose your shoelaces and keep moving ahead. Your hard work will definitely get recognized, appreciated and applauded by the universe for sure.
